Experience

Art

  • Taught for 2 years in Xi'an, 4 years in Seoul, 6 1/2 years in Wisconsin, four in Milwaukee, 1/2 year (long-term sub) in Fond du Lac, and two in Antigo (northern Wisconsin). 
  • Special populations included: students with mild to severe disabilities (cognitive, emotional, physical, learning), gifted/talented, English Language Learners.
  • Implemented Discipline-Based Art Education (DBAE) methodology, PYP and collaborated with classroom teachers on a regular basis.
  • Art on a cart and in a dedicated classroom
  • Set up art shows at school and in local businesses, Artsonia

Technology

  • Technology Integration Facilitator in India for four years, Technology Coordinator/Facilitator for four years in Serbia, two in Tunisia and in Mali, and as a technology integration specialist in Milwaukee for one year prior to going overseas.
  • At all places I utilized an integrative approach and worked closely with classroom teachers.
  • Set up school's first technology program in Mali and significantly expanded the programs in Tunisia and Serbia - both schools which experienced exponential population growth.
  • Designed the Integrative Technology program for the elementary school in Chennai, India and collaborated with Tech Director to significantly expand the availability of technology within the classroom.

English as an Additional Language

  • Taught English to Chinese children ages 3-14 using the online learning platform VIPKID.
